The first neuronal network made with DNA

On 08-02-2011

American teams of Caltech University (California) just made an intelligent artificial neuronal network from 112 different parts of DNA.
Plugged to a computer, the network has correctly answered to all the 27 different questions (even if it was very slow: 8 hours for an answer).

Next step will be to make a group with 40 of these networks.
To compare, human brain has 100 billion neurons.
Looking at how technologies progress each year for memory computers (Moore law), we could reach this amount of neurons in a few decades.
