Animal Park of Gramat

Description:

More than 150 animal species represented by more than 1,000 animals are shown in the animal park of Gramat.
Some of them are:
- Wolves,
- Bears,
- 4 horns sheeps,
- Aurochs
- Bisons,
- Lynx
- Yaks,
- Ibex,
- Buffes
- Deers,
- Ostriches,
- Birds of prey,
- Many species of horses, donkeys, pigs and sheeps.

Planning:

The tour lasts from 2 to 4 hours.

The park is open all the year such that:
- From Easter to September: from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.,
- In October, every Sunday of the year and during All Saints holidays (Automn break): from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,
- From November to Easter: from 14:00 to 18:00.

At last, you can watch the feeding of animals every day in July and August according to the following schedule:
- 11.30: Wolves,
- 14:30: Bears,
- 16:00: Elks,

Comments:

The park was created in 1976 by the non profit Association for the Study and Protection of Flora and Fauna of the Causse country.

The visit of the park will bring you different natural shows throughout of the year.
Indeed, in January take place many births of pets,
From May to July, wild animals births occur.
Then, from late August to October occurs the mating period. You will hear the belling deers.

Picnic areas are organized.

The park has also Braille explanations.

From Paris or Brive-la-Gaillarde via the highway A20, take the exit 55, direction to Rocamadour and then Gramat;
From Toulouse via the A20, exit 56, direction to Gramat.
