Description:

Looking through the 6 discoveries spaces, you will understand the role of insects in holding the different ecosystems on the planet.
Throughout your journey you will see:
- The theater of nature,
- Giant insects, copy of insects to a very large scale,
- Men's work with bees in an old barn which will whow you the old beekeeping equipment, and also will whow you the tools from the local region and elsewhere.

You will also be pleased to see how is the life of a hive with a camera that can take you there directly.

At last, since 2009, Leon the Bourdon will show you the gardens of insects that take you to meet the life os these small populations.

Planning:

The tour lasts approximately 1h30.

Guided tours are held at fixed times.

Visits are:
- From April the 4th to May the 3rd, from September the 2nd to the 30th, and from October the 24th to November the 11th: daily at 14.30 and 16.00,
- From May the 4th to July the 2nd: on Saturdays, Sundays, 'bridges holidays' and bank holidays: all hours from 14:00 to 18:00,
- From July the 3rd to September the 1st: daily & hourly from 14:00 to 18:00,
- From May the 1st to October the 23rd: on Saturdays, Sundays, 'bridges holidays' and bank holidays at 14.30 and 16.00. Disclaimer : The management team of the destination has the possibility to change the opening days and hours without prior communication.

Comments:

Activities are organized for children from 3 to 9 years old who can enjoy their visit with the workshop to make their candles and leave with.

You finally find the shop where you can taste preparations such as homemade gingerbread, shortbread and nougat, citromiel, ...

- From the South: A75 then A89 towards Bordeaux, exit Vulcania/Bromont or via the exit 'Clermont-Ferrand North'
- From the West: A89 exit Vulcania/Bromont
- From the East: A72 then A71 and A89 exit Vulcania/Bromont or via the exit 'Clermont-Ferrand North'
- By train, there are shuttles directly from the train station to go to Saint-Ours-les-Roches.
