The General Conference of UNESCO has proclaimed at its 34th Session, 2010 as International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures. UN General Assembly endorsed the proposal by the adoption of resolution A/62/90 17 December 2007. In 2008, the General Assembly has 'requested UNESCO, in consultation with Member States and extrabudgetary resources, to play a leading role in preparations for the celebration of the Year' (resolution A/63 / 22 of 16 December 2008). The objective of this year and is celebrated to bring the policies of all levels (local, regional, national and international) by the angle of approach of cultures.
