The Combarelles Cave presents more than 600 paintings dating from the Magdalenian period (13,000 BC).
These ones represent a lot of animals, such as: - Horses - Reindeers - Ibex, - Mammoths, - Rhinos, - Bears, - Felines, - Bovidae . The frescoes show also tectiforms (geometric figures).
Planning:
The tour lasts 1 hour. The cave is open: - From September the 16th to May the 14th: from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., - From May the 15th to September the 15th: from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.. It is closed on every Saturday, as well as on the 01/01, 05/01, 11/01, 11/11 and 12/25.

Comments:
The daily number of visitors is limited to better preserve the paintings.
Access is possible for people with reduced mobility. It is necessary to anticipate a support for climbing the first 13 steps and then for using a special chair.
