Located in an old 17th century house, the museum's collections are organized along three axes: - Folk, at first: a Poitevin interior that presents among other things shrouds and clothing of the region, - Archaeology, with outstanding exhibitions of ceramics from the 1st century AD, coming from Gallo-Roman sites in Chauvigny & Antigny, but also via many medieval objects, - The old jobs where you will discover the tools of shoemakers, tinsmiths, coopers and many other professions.
The museum is open according to the following schedule: - From April the 1st to June the 14th and in September & October: open daily from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - From June the 15th to August the 31st: open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. & from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., open on Saturdays, Sundays and on bank holidays from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., - From November to March: Open on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
