The Aven Orgnac presents two major interests:- The cave,
- The city of prehistory
During the visit of the cave you see:
- An introductory movie,
- The Robert Joly room at -50 meters, with 10,000m² of reliefs and a ceilings at 30 feet high,
- The hall of Chaos at -100 meters, with stalagmites, some of them being more than 15,000 years old
- The Red room at -121 meters, which is the original gallery dug there 6 million years ago by the underground river. Majestic, it will leave an impressive remembrance.
The city of prehistory presents:
- A number of collections : prehistoric objects made by our ancestors from the Middle Paleolithic to the first Iron Age (350,000 years ago to -500 BC).
- Audible universes, 3D animations and stuffed animals,
- Daily scènes.
You will also learn that there are numerous dolmens in this region.
You can enjoy:

A playground and a picnic area are present.

Subjets of the studies are about the nearby underground cavities and about paleontology and prehistoric.
Pont d’Arc Cavern (Chauvet Cave) is at 20 km North of the Aven Orgnac (see link below on this page).

Orgnac Aven is located at the north of Orange and at the south of Montelimar.
From the A7 coming from the north, take exit 18 at the south of Montelimar.
Continue on the N7 Avignon / Nimes / Donzere / Pierrelatte / Valreas / Nyons.
Cross Donzere Pierrelatte, Bourg-Saint-Andeol, Saint-Just d'Ardeche, Laval-Saint-Roman, the Garn then Orgnac-Aven.
2km later, you arrive at the site.
From the A7 coming from the south, take exit 19 on the A7.
Cross Mondragon and continue to Bollene / Lamotte-du-Rhone / Pont-Saint-Esprit.
Cross Lamotte-du-Rhone, Le Bout-du-Pont, Pont-Saint-Esprit, Laval-Saint-Roman, the Garn then Aven Orgnac.
2km later, you get to site.
From the Pont d’Arc Cavern (Chauvet cave), take to the South towards Salavas, then Labastide de Virac before reaching the village Orgnac Aven.
