Henri Lecocq was a pharmacist who became a naturalist and created impressive collections in mineralogy, petrology and botany. He has been also the author of numerous books.He was also the friend and associate of Jean-Baptiste Bargoin, whom the city of Clermont-Ferrand also pays tribute to one of its museums which is detailed later here.
