Medicine Museum of Hautefort

In the former hospice of Hautefort classified in the historical monuments institution, you will discover progresses in medicine over the last 5 centuries.Shown collections are:
- The room of the sicks, an old hospital chamber with many beds,
- Plato room, with a world of dental prosthetics with a full workshop,
- The Chapel,
- The Hipocrates room, world of pharmacy,
- The Aristotle room, for modern medicine,
- The Galen room, about surgery,
- The Library,
- At last, a room is dedicated to Pasteur in recognition to the extraordinary work that this genius has done.
The herb garden closes the visit.
You will see arnica, borage among many other medicinal plants.
Planning:
One hour to one and half an hour allow you to know much more about the history of medicine over the last 5 centuries.The museum is open daily from April to October, from 10h00 to 12h00 and from 14h00 to 18h00.
