Museum Laumônier of the Steam Train

Description:

The museum shows to the visitors:
- 1/20th and 1/11th models,
- guidded tours,
- a documentation space,
- guidded tours for school groups,
- guidded tours suitable for children.
Laumonier Raymond, former chief of deposit in the train station of Vierzon, retraces 150 years of railway history in his museum through a rich collection of drawings, photos, small equipment and models.

Professions about train are explained, as well as techniques and tools that are used to build the railways.

Planning:

One hour allow you to make a nice first visit of the museum.

It is closed from November to March.

Visits for groups (minimum 10 people) are held throughout the year appointment.

Reservations are done for groups of 10, or, for handicapped persons, for two people. Disclaimer : The management team of the destination has the possibility to change the opening days and hours without prior communication.

Tactile visits are organized for visually impaired people (reservations mandatory).
