Description:

Located in Cathar country, the museum of Quercorb send you through time in the world of the musical instruments.
So you hear the music of medieval troubadours, and will stop at the 19th and 20th centuries.

Some examples of scenes of local Cathar life are:
- The kitchen,
- The room iron,
- Wood Hall,
- The Forge,
- The Woodturner's Workshop,
- The medieval instrumentarium
- The orchard.

You will also appreciate the history room, with its tales and legends such as the one of the disappeared lady of the lake.
The audiovisual room will allow you finally to understand the passion of violin makers and also the one of the boiler with his alembic.

Planning:

The museum is open according to the following schedule:
- From April the 9th to July the 14th: from 10:30 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 18:00
- From July the 15th to August the 31st: from 10:00 to 19:00 ,
- In September: from 10:30 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 18:00
- From October the 1st to November the 1st: from 14:00 to 17:00.
The last entry is made 30 minutes before the museum closes.
Closed from January the 1st to April the 8th and from November the 2nd to December the 31st.

Comments:

Scenes with characters, sound effects and video will allow you to walk such notes on the musical score, along a path from rooms to the garden, from the soup to the alembic.
