The National Maritime Museum is located in Paris, in the Passy wing of the Palais de Chaillot, building built for the Universal Exhibition of 1937.
Some master pieces that are presented are:
- The collection of models styles Louis XV
- Imperial Canot of Napoleon the 1st
- Scenery of the Normandy
- Bow of boat ride to Queen Marie-Antoinette
- Overview ships using the latest technologies, such as the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle and as the research vessels
Examples of temporary exhibitions include:

- Sailors do the fashion

The National Maritime Museum is located in 5 cities in France: Paris, Brest, Port-Louis (Morbihan), Rochefort and Toulon.
