275m long, 49m high, built in the 1st century AD, the bridge of the Gard has three levels and served as an aqueduct to go over the Gardon river and thus bring water from Uzes to Nimes, that is to say from a distance of about 50km away.

It is the highest aqueduct in the Roman world.

In addition to the bridge, you can visit the 2500m? museum with its exhibition focused on three themes:
- The Gallo-Roman civilisation of the city and the water, via a multimedia show,
- The construction of the work of art, the aqueduct and the bridge, that presents the aqueducts of the Roman world (you will enjoy the lighting map), that explains the construction of the aqueduct and describes the course of the aqueduct of Nimes,
- The bridge of the Gard through the centuries and its models, which take you in three galleries, scientists, engineers, and architects ones.
