Prehistorical Cave of the Merveilles

Cave paintings

Domaine(s) : Archeology

Region : Midi-Pyrénées

Rocamadour Cave gives to your eyes the spectacle of stalactites that accompanies the rock paintings dating from the Upper Paleolithic, that is to say 20,000 years ago.

Thus, many representations of hands, horses and deers will show you an aspect of the antique spiritual but also physical life.

A somewhat mystical atmosphere still comes from these places.
