The zoo is vast as it is on 80 hectares. Its purpose is to allow 600 animals from 130 different species coming from the five continents to evolve in large spaces and to continue evolving in the wild ( with of course a veterinarian monitoring). Animals are presented in: - Two African plains, - Two Asian plains, - An American plain, - A South American sector, - An Australian sector, - A mini-farm.
The landscaped park is organized around the castle of the Haviland family, itself built in the 18th century. - A 200m long majestic driveway allowing access to the honor courtyard and decorated with colorful scenes, - Three enclosed spaces juxtaposed to the farmhouse, - Two terraces: the first one, with a tranquil path on the west side of the castle, offering an overview of the landscape, the second one decorated in the 60s, on the South side of the castle, - Three scenic walks: the first, hilly and planted with ornamental plants, the second organized around an English river, spanned by bridges and lined with flowering shrubs, the third organized around a rockery ornate pond (caves, bridges, waterfalls ...).
