The museum is located in a house dating from the 15th century.
The collections are shown to you from excavations and discoveries made by people on the town and surrounding areas:
- Prehistoric Collection,
- Gallo-Roman Collection
- Merovingian Collection.

Martizay is located in the Regional Natural Park of Brenne.
From Chateauroux, take the D925 to the West then in Azay-le-Ferron, take the D975 to the South.
From the town of Le Blanc, take the D975 to the North.

In an hour you will learn a lot about the historical inheritage of the region.

The museum is open at the following schedule:
- From Easter to All Saints day: On Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 14:30 to 17:30.
- In July and August: daily except on Monday from 14:30 to 18:30.
It can be visited in the off season by appointment (Tel +33 (0)2-54-28-01-96).
