 Located in the former weapons factory of Chatellerault created in 1819, the museum features cars ranging from Panhard & Levassor prototypes from 1893 to 1950s. A very rich collection of scooters and French motorcycles is presented. At last, the museum offers to the visitors the sight of many archaeological objects, weapons, headpieces and works of art.  In two hours, you will have crossed many vehicles with 2 & 4 wheels and have seen the archaeological and artistic objects. The museum opening schedule is as follows: - From February to June : Open from Wednesday to Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., - From July to September the 19th: Open from Wednesday to Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., - From September the 20th to December: open from Wednesday to Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., The museum is closed on May the 1st, on December the 25th and on January. Disclaimer : The management team of the destination has the possibility to change the opening days and hours without prior communication.  The temporary exhibition 'APPEAL de PH'ART was scheduled from April the 1st, 2010 to December the 31st, 2010. The goal of this exhibition was to bring together the automobile and the contemporary art. |
