Located in the medieval village of Romenay, the museum of the Bressan counrty is one of the oldest museums relating to pop art and traditions in France.

The old jobs of yesteryear are presented via techniques used to build Bressanes farms, including those with saracen chimney.
The topics are:
- Prehistory,
- Military Collectibles (Weapons),
- Ethnology: Costume, Home, Furniture, Tools and Works,
- Local and regional history.

One hour allows to have a flavor of the region under its historical aspects in rural areas.

The museum is open from May the 15th to September the 30th from 15h00 to 19h00 every day except on Tuesdays.

An audiovisual area explains the rearing of poultry of Bresse.
Local archaeological objects are presented.
Geology, environment and Bressan society are also present in this museum and you will be able to admire the typical costumes and caps of the region.

One of two rooms that comprise the museum is a rebuilt 19th century bourgeois home.
The second room is dedicated to archeology.
At last, the visit is completed by the museum of poultry that explains you the history of this type of farming.
