Resolutely turned towards the future, the city of Ensisheim fuly use its history as a basis to conqueer the 21st century.

The museum is of the Regency his one of its windows.

The aura of the city whose fate was linked to the Habsburg was symbolized by the magnificent Palace of the Regent, which now displays many treasures.

Planning:

One and half An hour allows you to understand the industrial history of the region.

The museum is open daily from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., except on Tuesdays and bank holidays.
It is also open from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. the first and the third weekend of each month from October to April. Disclaimer : The management team of the destination has the possibility to change the opening days and hours without prior communication.

Comments:

The three sections of the museum of the Regency are:
- History, with the presentation of a meteorite felt in 1492
- Miner's Museum: the confined underground world of the miner is faithfully recalled by the display of many industrial objects
- Archaeology, through the exhibition of objects from local antique cemeteries.

The events that take place in the city of Ensisheim and that match with the editorial line of Genius Tour are, in 2011:
- Water, Wealth at Risk: March the 1st to the 26th at the library (free),
- 7th night of museums: Saturday, May the 14th from 7:00 p.m. to midnight,
- A Festival of Cultures: Friday the 27th & Saturday the 28th of May: storytelling sessions for schools, exhibitions, lectures and musical events,
- Exchange market for meteorites: from June the 17th to the 19th, organized by the Brotherhood of Saint George and the Guardians of the Meteorite.
